I have noticed that most of my little readers get confused between the ‘sh’ and ‘ch’ sound. These sounds look so similar! I have designed this pack to get rid of the confusion between consonant digraph ‘sh’ and ‘ch’.
Which sound do you hear in the above pictures? sh or ch? write the consonant digraphs in the space provided. The pictures are cheetah, shout, chocolate, charger, chew, shirt, wash, and leash. The answers have been provided on a separate sheet inside the pack.
The first four worksheets of the pack have pictures with either the ‘sh’ or the ‘ch’ sound. The child has to write the digraph in the space provided. Please note that the digraph can be in the beginning, middle or towards the end of a word. The answers have been provided in a separate sheet within the pack.
This is a word sort worksheet. Cut the word tiles and let the child read and paste them in the correct box. The child can also highlight the sh and ch sound in case of confusion.
The last worksheet has ‘sh’ and ‘ch’ pictures with a few scrambled words. Unscramble the words to make a logical sentence and write it using basic punctuation.
This pack is free for subscribers to download.
I hope you find this resource useful.
