Prepositions of place are words we use to show the relationship of a noun or a pronoun to another word in the sentence. They can also be called place words because these words often tell us the position of things.

The resource that I am sharing today is a pack of posters and flashcards that will help you introduce place words before moving to the exercises.
The place words that I created posters and flashcards for are ‘in, on, under, out, off, over, above, below, between, toward, against, through, behind and across.
I have created posters with pictures and a sentence that will help explain the preposition and its usage. The pictures will help kids understand what a particular place word means.
I have created the above prepositions exercises and worksheets to assess children’s understanding of place words.
These posters are in letter paper format. If you plan to use these in the classroom, I suggest you print these out on a thick paper and then laminate them for durability. They will last you for years
I have also created flashcards with pictures for prepositions. There are no sentences in the flashcards. Each sheet has 4 flashcards.
