Learning numbers in word form is important. I try to do it as soon as I start teaching sight words. Number words like seven, fifteen, twenty, etc. are high-frequency words so it is important for children to know them.
‘The very hungry caterpillar’ is amongst the best and most entertaining books to understand numbers. My preschoolers and kindergarteners love it.
Using words to write short numbers makes your writing look clean and classy. When you are writing words in numbers, they are easy to read words and hard to mistake for each other. In this post, I will be sharing worksheets to practice tracing numbers one to ten.
Counting the pictures will also help the child understand the numbers. One clock, one bell, etc.
The font is big and numbers are given against the words and there are pictures too. Two teeth, two trees, etc.

Trace the word four and color the family of four.
Trace the word five and have the child count the five flies.
Trace the word six and count the six stars in the sky.
Trace the number seven and color the seven strawberries with seeds.
Trace the number eight and color the eight airplanes.
Trace the word nine and color the nine noses.
Trace the word ten and color the ten tops.
