Now that our little readers have begun reading blend words, this cut and paste pictures Pack will complement the reading well. You can find the ‘l blend words’ flashcards on my website by clicking on the image below. It’s free.
Moving on to the, I have created a worksheet for each blend, i.e. bl, cl, fl, gl, pl and sl separately. These worksheets involve cutting and pasting pictures so keep your scissors and glue ready.
I usually make the children read all the eight words first. If they are not comfortable reading the blend ‘bl,’ make your child highlight the blend ‘bl’ with a light color and read it.
Trust me, these worksheets are a favorite amongst my kindergarten kids.
You will see how interested your little one will be to read these words and match pictures to corresponding words.
These worksheets help in building vocabulary. Plus, they are so much fun.
Allow your child to read the words while you cut the picture tiles.
There are times when eight words and eight pictures can be overwhelming for a child. In such a case, I help the child read a word and then give her only two pictures to choose from. You can give two or four depending on the comfort of your child.
There are times when the child is not able to understand what she is expected to do. Please be patient with the child. You can do the worksheet together and after a few days, you can repeat it again.
This set has proved to be fail-proof for me when it comes to teaching blends or anything else for that matter. With the cutting and everything they can seem to be a bit of work but trust me, it’s worth it.
This mix of worksheets will challenge your little one to read and understand different l blend words when they are together.
Allow your child to read the words while you cut the picture tiles. Then let your child read the words again and match the pictures one word at a time.
