We use do and does when we want to ask yes/no questions. Whether we use do or we use does depends upon the subject. Do, does, don’t and doesn’t are all forms of the verb to do.
Let’s understand the usage of do and does.
We use do when the subject is I, you, we, they or a plural noun.
Do I know you?
Do you believe in ghosts?

Do they understand the problem?
We use does when the subject is he, she, it or with a singular noun.
Does he work with you?
Does she have a car?
Does it hurt?
Don’t is a contraction of do not. The negative form of do is do not. We use don’t to form a negative sentence when the subject is I, you, we, they or a plural noun.
I don’t speak English.
Don’t you brush your teeth at night?
We don’t want to watch that movie.
