alphabets sounds a to z flashcards
Phonics alphabet sounds are the first step for our curious learners who are learning to read. Understanding the beginning sounds of words lays the foundation for the phonological-awareness. This awareness will help them sound out letters as they begin reading.
I have prepared yet another pdf for my beginners. These cute little flashcards with uppercase and lowercase letters along with a picture will aid in teaching alphabet and their beginning sounds to kids
You will find 9 flashcards on each sheet. The sheets are in letter paper format. The pictures are given along with their names. The pictures begin with the beginning sound of the alphabet on the card. Cut and laminate the flashcards for durability.
qu makes the sound /kw/. ‘q’ does not make any sound on its own. I have created flashcards for both qu and q. You can use either as per your preference.
Do not forget to try the beginning sounds game to practice beginning sounds with kids. Preschool and kindergarten kids will absolutely love playing this card game. You can download it by clicking on the image above.
There isn’t a word that begins with the beginning sound of x. The sound of x can be heard in words like box, wax, mix, lux, hen, etc.
I have also created flashcards in black and white so that children can color them. Children will love coloring these cute cards.
I have used the same pictures for colored and black and white flashcards.
This set is free for subscribers to download.
